Gabriela Duran

    Gabriela has a lifetime of dance experience starting from the age of 8, in Mexico City, where she was born.

    She studied the techniques of traditional Mexican for 16 years and performed with several folkloric dance groups. She then moved to the United States where, for over 25 years, she has danced in Montana, South Dakota and Denver. Currently, she performs with Jeanette Trujillo-Lucero and the Fiesta Colorado Dance Company. Her experience has given her the opportunity to perform with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra/ Latin Beats, Lone Tree Art Center/Passport to Culture, and the Levitt Pavilion Mexican Dance Concert.

    Gabriela is proud to teach the roots of Mexican dance technique along with the rich cultural pride and history of the dance. She has taught at schools in many counties some being: Beach Court /Denver, Pioneer / Lafayette, University Hill / Boulder and Pinnacle Elementary in Westminster.

    Mexican Dance is an important part of her heart, body and soul.
    She enjoys teaching and sharing the art form that she loves.
