Featuring an October Performance Opportunity in Italy
The Colorado Conservatory of Dance invites dance companies led by women to apply for its 2025 Summer Dance Residency. This intensive two-week program fosters collaboration with young dancers aged 14 to 25.
This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with emerging talent and contribute to young dancers’ artistic development. Dance companies interested in this experience should submit their proposals.
What is the 2025 CCD Summer Residency?
The 2025 Colorado Conservatory of Dance Summer Dance Residency is a focused two-week program for dance companies interested in collaborating with young dancers aged 14 to 25.
Selected companies will benefit from 70 hours of complimentary studio access, allowing them to explore new creations for the company while working with these young artists.
The residency culminates in a collaboration with Women in Dance, featuring performances at the 2025 Florence Biennale in Italy (October).
Additionally, the work will be showcased at a local professional theater in the Denver metro area. Each participant will receive a $1,500 stipend, along with travel expense coverage if needed, making this a highly valuable opportunity for emerging talent.

Studio Access
70 hours of complimentary studio usage for the companies to research new work
Creative Focus
Explore the sublime essence of Light and Darkness while in alignment with Women in Dance’s mission, allowing for innovative interpretations and expressions of these themes through new creation or resetting existing works on young dancers.
Residency Schedule
Each company will teach 2 movement classes/week + conduct 5 rehearsals/week with the participating young dancers
Final Presentation
Collaboration with Women in Dance, culminating in performances at the 2025 Florence Biennale in Italy (October) and a showcase at a local professional theater in the Denver metro area on July 26th, 2025.
