Jeanette Trujillo-Lucero2023 Visiting Artist

    Jeanette Trujillo-Lucero has been heralded as a classical dancer who belongs to the first rank of artists of Spanish and of Mexican dance.

    As a performer, Trujillo-Lucero has performed with world renowned flamenco guitarists and is known for her classical Spanish dance with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and the Mariachi Sol de Mi Tierra.

    Jeanette is recognized for her 40 years of outstanding achievement in dance performance in Denver. She was a recipient, as an individual, of the Mayor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts in 1997 and was most recently was awarded as; A Living Legend of Dance in Colorado by the Dance Archive Library form the University of Denver.

    Jeanette is the founder Fiesta Colorado Dance Company, a non-profit organization, for the preservation of the Hispanic Arts of Colorado.

    She is well know for her educational community work and is highly visible throughout our city in cultural festivals and in school programs.

    With a life time of dance experience in ballet, tap, and jazz, Jeanette has been the choreographer for many well known performing arts organizations. 

    Credits include: the Colorado Children’s Chorale, Up with People, Broadway Musicals, Evergreen Chorale, West Side Story, Carmen, Fiestas de Santa Fe, Ferdinand the Bull, Dia de Los Muertos, Festival Italiano and Mexican Independence Day Celebrations.

    Jeanette Trujillo-Lucero is a fine a gifted dancer and shares with her audience the excitement, richness and beauty of Spanish & Mexican Dance.
