Fascial Distortion

The fascial distortion model (FDM), developed by Stephen Typaldos, allows for strikingly effective manipulative treatments for diverse afflictions such as pulled muscles, fractures and frozen shoulders. FDM’s results are objective, obvious, measurable and immediate. As a national instructor for this technique Dr. Zandi has become an expert in treating musculoskeletal pain.

Practitioner: Dr. Christina Zandi

My name is Dr. Christina Zandi. I am a proud native of Colorado, and a graduate of Logan University in St. Louis, MO. I am full body certified in the Fascial Distortion Model and I run a family practice in South Denver. I treat patients ranging from day old infants to elite athletes. I treat my patients using several techniques, including the FDM, manual adjustment techniques, Logan Basic techniques, and I have special training in perinatal chiropractic techniques for women.

During my clinical experience at Logan, I am proud to say I was chosen among my classmates to be a Senior Intern in the BioFreeze Sports and Rehabilitation Center® . In the BioFreeze clinic I had the opportunity to treat patients from the inner-city population, underserved patient bases, student athletes from the University of Missouri, and the general public as well.

While in the BioFreeze clinic, I gained a special interest in treating specific extremity issues in athletes using the Fascial Distortion Model.

In my free time I enjoy camping, hiking and spending time with my Siberian Husky, Link.

Practitioner: Sepehr Zandi

My name is Dr. Sepehr Zandi; I have been a practicing chiropractor in Boulder, Colorado, for several years. I graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 2011, and during my time there, I was able to treat patients ranging from 1 day old to 95 years old. While at Logan College, I earned the Health Center Achievement for Exemplary Clinical Performance and Excellence award. Although a real passion of mine has always been in the athletic arena, I run a thriving family practice, and I enjoy treating all types of patients. Something I am particularly proud of is, while at Logan College, I was chosen as a Senior intern at the BIOFREEZE ® Rehabilitation Center; there, I coached college-level softball, trained and rehabilitated both high school and college track including basketball, soccer, cross country, football, swimming, cycling, and triathlon athletes. And while working in Colorado Springs, I was the first-ever Chiropractor to work with the National Strength and Conditioning Association!

I use several techniques to treat my patients, including Active Release Technique, a hands-on soft tissue technique, therapeutic modalities, and manual and mechanical manipulations. My focus is on biomechanics, human motion, and rehabilitative and corrective exercises. My goal is to treat my patients with a full-body approach, and I focus on extremity conditions as well as spinal.

Active Release Technique is a patented, state-of-the-art soft tissue system/movement-based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART. These conditions all have one crucial thing in common: they are often a result of overused muscles.
